I have two long hair mini dachs and one is chocolate and tan and the other is Black and tan. The black and tan one looks alot like your dog, except mine is a boy and well…. not as talented as your dach. xD
this is so cute! how long have you been training her. b/c i just got a 3 month dachshund and he cant do any tricks yet. does the clicker make a big difference?
I had a female Dachchund (peanut) who just passed. she was 23 years old. I also have two minis sitting on the couch. Love dachshunds. There will always be a dachshund in my home
Dachshunds are so goofy with their tricks. They are the the world’s smartest dogs, bt smarter than many. Mine does the same thing were see does every trick she knows before she does the right one….I sure do love them though
my dachshund is SO stubborn. he only knows “sit”. i could take up to hours with him trying to teach him something new, & he still wont listen. he’s also kind of aggressive. any advice? :/
So cute! I’ve never seen a dachshund with that coloring before; she’s beautiful. Really nice training–she obviously listens and trusts you. I think you confused her when she was against the wall and heard ‘bang’, though.
That was really awesome, I’m teaching my little dachshund tricks too, It’s complicated but I have learned to be patient with her. =] You are really good with her!
Oh ok, yea I went ahead and taught my dachshund the bang bang trick. She learned it in one day, but then the next day she was sort of defiant. But now she does it well. I want to try the so sad next. Thanks!
no i havent taken her to dog training classes yet. we just started by getting her familiar with the clicker sound and then used the clicker when she learned a trick correctly. we only make the click sound when the trick is done correctly and immediately follow up with a treat. the bang trick took a bit but now she uses it to try to get an easy treat. and the so sad was taught by my wife.
Wow! You must have mastered the art of clicker training or something. Katie is impressive!
